Words from the Vendors

From Krista Fox:Jenn and Rich were planning to go with a vintage theme for their decor. That plan evolved over the year of planning to a mod/garden themed wedding including graphic patterns and whimsical, colorful florals. It suited them perfectly. With the help of an amazing team of professionals, the wedding came to life. Jenn also infused the decor with many DIY details – sewing linens, creating signs, painting flower vessels, making the jam favors, etc. It was a perfect day in every way – even the sunshine cooperated.

Advice from the Bride

I did a lot of DIYs for our wedding – making signs, favors, gathering photos, sewing table runners – and I would advise future brides to not get hung up on the minor details. Yes, focusing on details is important in order to complete your overall vision of your big day, but not everything has to be perfect. Your guests are there, first and foremost, to see the two of you on your happiest day. No one will notice if that bow isn’t tied perfectly, or the grey font you’re using for a sign doesn’t perfectly match your menus. Keep focused on the end game and avoid getting caught up in the minutiae.

On the day of your wedding, just let it go. I would have relaxed a bit more during the reception instead of worrying about everything that was “supposed” to happen. We forgot to do the bouquet toss, and then I couldn’t find my mini “tossing” bouquet. It stressed me out when I should have just been dancing and enjoying the night – even my husband told me to loosen up! I realize now that it wasn’t that important.
