From Linnea Paulina Photography:
Tommy and Anna were married in Vancouver, Washington in September 2013. Their wedding ceremony took place under a historic oak tree in the middle of a beautiful green field. Their wedding reception was held in a gorgeous old airplane hangar which was transformed with garlands hanging from the rafters and a good sprinkling of string lights. Their wedding has a classic feel with natural roots.

We can’t say how much we enjoy seeing weddings and/or receptions held in interestingly alternative spaces. Anna and Tommy chose the Pearson Air Museum as the location for their wedding reception. Natural light pours in through the massive windows of this old airplane hanger and bounces beautifully around it’s whitewashed walls and glossy white floors making it the perfect location for a light and airy all white wedding.

Interested in feeding people but not blowing your budget on a meal for 100+ people? Don’t you worry we have three budget friendly reception menus ideas that will satisfy your guests and your wallet!

1. Wedding Brunch: Depending on time of you wedding you can easily serve a full brunch spread that can include everything from  french toast, pancakes, bacon and sausage, waffles and omelets. This sort of meal tends to be much cheaper then a full dinner and your guest are just as happy.

2. Appetizers and Cocktails: This option will allow you to serve a variety of drinks and keep your guests mingling while they munch on tasty snacks . Plus with your wedding cake being served a little later your guests will never notice that they missed a meal.

3. Dessert Only: Let’s face it, we all go to weddings for one thing. Cake! So why not just skip to the best part of the night and save yourself the dinner bill. putting together a creative dessert table can be just as fun and memorable.

Awesome! I am struggling to figure out what type of reception I would have! I never thought of a brunch. It would be great for me since I don’t particularly enjoy dinner reception meals (the old beef steak, chicken, or salmon).

Leaves the rest of the evening free ;)
