From Catherine Hall Studios:
Lauren and Kyle knew from the very beginning that they wanted their special day to be nestled in the scenery of one of their favorite places, Lake Tahoe, CA. Both are avid skiers, and nature enthusiasts, who thrive in the adventure of their active lifestyles. Professionally, Lauren utilized her passion for architecture and design in San Francisco, CA, while Kyle braved the wilderness of Tahoe’s National Forest as a rural fire fighter.

As the wedding date neared, coordinator, Stephanie Anderson of One Fine Day Events put together the final details on their outdoor reception, and made sure that their easy going-chic theme was illustrated in every inch of their decor. Before they knew it, Lauren and Kyle’s wedding day had arrived, and amongst the smell of fresh pine trees and soft summer air.

After an emotional ceremony and effervescent cocktail hour, everyone dined on exquisite catering from West Shore Cafe. There was a delicious assortment of summer cocktails, including ginger beer, and Lauren’s favorite the Moscow Mule! If you are needing a summer wedding cocktail, do we have a treat for you!

Their first date included skiing at Kirkwood, and while it ended rather inauspiciously for Lauren, Kyle just happened to be the perfect remedy to her in her time of need. Hitting the slopes seemed like the perfect way for the couple to get to know each other until that is; Lauren fell and broke her leg. Kyle, being the perfect gentleman, went above and beyond to visit and care for Lauren during her recovery in San Francisco.

Miniature bright floral arrangements, hung suspended in glass jars throughout the venue, compliments of Stems By Diana. They provided the perfect compliment to the mineral inspired undertones of the luxury linens which draped their outdoor reception tables.

As the night fell on their beautiful outdoor party, Lauren and Kyle said goodbye to their guests and departed in a vintage Mercedes convertible. Not off to their honeymoon just yet, they had to wait until the end of fire season of course. Lauren predicts it will be a trek through Nepal, or indulging in some authentic pizza tasting in Italy, maybe even both!

If she could leave one piece of advice behind for brides to be, it would be “don’t sweat the small stuff, family and friends always step up to help out, so enjoy your day!.” Judging by the amazing energy that surrounded their entire celebration, I would say her philosophy certainly paid off.

They truly got this one right. The save-the-date set the tone brilliantly that this was going to be one awesome party. The theme was carried through every aspect of the wedding and I love the opulent, enchanted forest feel. I especially love the table design with the great linens and abundance of florals and greenery. Really lovely..
