When Holly said yes to Eric after he popped the question the next thought in her mind wasn’t about their wedding day but about their engagement photos. It’s a little less surprising when you find out that she is the owner of Simply Sweet Weddings & Events, so this is like second nature to her. She wanted people to see their pictures and think “That’s definitely Holly and Eric.” But she couldn’t keep her love of event planning out of the process either. The result was a two part session, starting with a romantic woodland brunch for two and leading to little snowboard fun while still in their formal attire! This brunch to boarding engagement session is one of a kind and we know you will fall head over heels for it!

From Simply Sweet Weddings & Events:This engagement shoot is so near and dear to my heart because it’s mine! It was such a fun shoot because Eric (my husband), Brian Leahy (our photographer), and I have gone snowboarding together many times! Snowboarding is something that Eric and I really love to do together and it’s been a huge part of our relationship since the beginning, so when it was time for our engagement shoot, it seemed like a no-brainer that we would be shooting it in Big Bear on the mountain.
Being in the industry, I’ve seen a million engagement shoots on the blogs, and quite a few snowboarding engagement shoots and I really wanted something to give ours a twist. It was then Eric’s idea, actually, that we go up in formal attire! The stares we got on the mountain were priceless and everyone on the slopes that day loved it…we felt like such celebrities! We also coupled our adventurous side with a romantic table scape in the woods for a few traditional shots as well. The table scape reminds me of a romantic spring brunch in the woods!
