Wow, can you say “picture perfect” wedding?! With the Grand Tetons as the backdrop, Adam and Sara’s wedding day was a timeless event fit for a postcard. Her gorgeous vintage inspired wedding dress next to his pressed and starched U.S. Navy uniform make for a classic combo that we simply can not get enough of.

From the Bride:
Adam and I met on Match.com. We instantly connected through our love of fitness and beer (contradictory, I know). About 8 weeks into dating, we took our first vacation together to Jackson Hole, WY. The first night we were there, as we were walking home from dinner, Adam told me he loved me. It was truly the best vacation ever. Flash forward 9 months, he asks me to marry him, and OF COURSE I said yes!
We decided on Jackson Hole as the location for our destination wedding, as it held such a special place in our hearts. Plus, we really wanted to share this amazing part of the country with our nearest and dearest. My inspiration for the wedding was “Timeless Glamor” with local Jackson Hole flair thrown in. Having the Grand Teton National Park as the backdrop for the day was a great place to start.
The reception was also held in the park, at Dornan’s – known for it’s second-to-none views of the Grand Tetons. Guests’ favors included Pashmina shawls for the gals, in case they got cold, and mini bottles of liquor for the guys to take a shot, in case they got cold.
The entry of the pavilion was decorated with lanterns, buckets of cat tails, olive branches, garland, and ribbon. The tables were adorned with mercury glass and rose gold votive candle holders as well as garland, hydrangeas, and pheasant feathers.
Steal worthy idea: Place a magnetic board in between rocks to hold it steady. Then turn tiny pebbles into magnets, and place your menu on the tables. You could even use the opposite side for the table number. Clever … right?
Dinner was buffet style featuring buffalo prime rib and salmon. For dessert we had huckleberry macaroons, apple pie bites, and a s’mores bar, held at a fire pit. The wedding cake was a 2 tier white with gold creation of strawberry buttermilk heaven.
As for things I would have done differently – I would have rethought having sleeves on my wedding dress – although I LOVED my dress (so different, yet classic), my range of motion was definitely limited, in dancing and especially hugging. Other than that – I thought our day was just perfect!
