It took a village to create this home grown rustic wedding into a handcrafted masterpiece. Jacqueline and Jonathan called on many of their family and friends to help them create numerous unique pieces that gave their wedding a natural and chic flair. From the succulent centerpieces made by the brides mother to the lavender adorn bouquets and boutonnieres created by the grooms uncle, to their hand made cake by a family friend. It is safe to say that this natural chic wedding was truly home grown.

From the Bride:
Our wedding was really a labor of love. We (my husband and I) did all of the event planning ourselves. I still get made fun of for the extensive day-of timeline I handed out to family and friends in the days leading up to the event.
Speaking of family and friends, they made everything possible. My mother made all of the centerpieces and my girlfriends helped to set them up, my husbands Uncle did all of the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages, and my sisters incredibly talented friend did the cake and desserts. One of my best friends officiated the ceremony and the music was also handled by an old friend.
My husband and I made lots of the other “stuff”; we stained leftover pieces of wood from my dads job site and hand painted signs, made the burlap table runners from bulk suppliers, created the table seating tags, and put together an awesome photo collection for the seating assignments!
Almost everyone involved was connected somehow; even our incredible wedding photographer and our caterer had family ties! In the end, it all came together when our unbelievable day of coordinator knocked it out of the park (a friend of the hubby’s, duh).
My only piece of advice if you plan your own wedding is that you can totally do it on your own and not go crazy, but you must have a day of coordinator! In the end it went by way too fast, but truly turned out to be one of the most beautiful days of my life. I think the fact that everyone involved was so deeply connected to us as a couple, that it really helped to let all of the love shine through.
