Sunday Social Wedding From Our Labor of Love

Our Labor of Love Photography

Before you dive into Ethiopia and Tim's wedding you may want to grab a note pad and a quick cup of coffee. Their entire day is jam packed of homemade details all hand-crafted by the bride. Ethiopia felt like her whole life of craft projects was practice for this wedding! How cute is that?
With the help of her husband they designed the stationary, sewed the runners, made paper heart sticks, embossed envelopes, etc.. you name it they did it. Sit back and enjoy this Sunday social wedding, and you must swing on over to the full gallery here. No joke there are so many more noteworthy photos to check out. All photographed by Our Labor of Love.

From the Bride:The one thing I am most proud of is that I sewed my dress. I wanted a cotton dress since I would be outside and I am not into too much frilly detail. It took me about 3 months working at night but in the end I was very happy with it. We didn't work with a planner so we had to pick vendors that we trusted and didn't need alot of direction. On the wedding day all of my family and the wedding party pitched in to help set up all of the decorations we had worked so hard on. The weather was perfect and the wedding went by in a blur.Customized Converse For The Groomsman:The groomsmen were just asked to wear khakis and a white button down. We gave them the suspenders and bow ties day of. My husband designed a little character likeness of each groomsmen and personalized a pair of converse for our groomsmen gifts.

Teal Peplum Bridesmaid Dresses:My bridesmaids wore peplum teal summer dresses. I thought that was a style of dress everyone would look good in. Turned out to be a great choice since one of them became pregnant in the middle of planning and the etsy designer who made them for me happily made hers a two piece. My twin god daughters along with my 11 year old daughter Kaya were my 'flower girls' they carried signs I made in lieu of flowers.

On The Venue The Farmhouse Inn: We looked around online for outdoor venues and chose the Farmhouse Inn even though it was the first and only outside venue we went to see. My family owned farm land in upstate new york where I would spend my summers that was just like the Farmhouse Inn. We also liked that it had the accommodations for the entire wedding party and their families to spend the night there. From the Bride:We made a weekend of it. Starting with rehearsal on Friday with a bonfire, Saturday wedding, and a Sunday morning brunch. It was a great family experience as well as wedding, it's not often all of our friends, their families, and especially the children get to spend time together. Busy lives and distance gets in the way.

There is nothing major I would change, in the beginning me and my husband listed out what would be important to us. Food was a big one (sweets are my absolute favorite we had a dessert table), then music, and then photography.

Doing a lot of the crafts ourselves helped stretch our budget. I am glad we went with the best photographer because that is the only way I really get to see all of my details, the day went to fast for me to really appreciate them. The pictures are also the way we relive the wedding now, so its great they are so unbelievable.
