Casey and Eric’s wedding was particularly special to event designer Magnolia Event Design. She is the little sister of her best friend, so planning this spectacular Santa Barbara vintage yet casual wedding was near and dear to her heart.
As you will soon see Magnolia Event Design did an over the top job. The day was overflowing with purple details, accents of gold and vintage lace. The florals were a collection of springtime happiness in shades of lavender, pink and deep purple. You can see way more details in the full gallery here, all captured beautifully by Linda Chaja.

Moss and chalk boards were also prominently featured throughout the event. The bride’s mother did calligraphy on the invitations, welcome signs, menus, escort cards and just about everything in-between.
Casey’s wedding was a vintage, collected and no detail spared… from the Welcome Lemonade stand, the custom bean bag toss (designed by the bride’s sister), to the pashminas to keep guests warm into the night and the gentlemen’s smoking lounge we made sure the guests were in for a really good time.

For dinner the bride and groom really wanted to represent their favorite foods and not have a fussy sit down dinner. Instead they opted for a slider station featuring beef, ahi, chicken and portabello sliders, french fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings paired with various dipping sauces, herbed grilled corn on the cob, mac and cheese and asparagus. Late into the night the buffet turned into a huge late night snack station featuring do it yourself s’mores. Guests went wild for this snack!

Custom made mason jars, etched with the couple’s nickname, “The Grumps” and their wedding date. They are lovingly know by friends as the Grumps. Crump + Geeb = Grump

This may not be the most elegant wedding but the elements worked together for the atmosphere to become comforting and perfect! Casual and vintage seems the perfect mix for couples who want to celebrate with their closest friends and relatives.
