Rustic New England Wedding: Michelle & Pat’s Farm-to-Fork Celebration

Share

Autumn wedding details: flowers, treats, seating chart

Michelle & Pat aren’t, according to the bride, a “fancy-white-glove-formal type of couple”, and they wanted a wedding that kept the rustic feel of the areas of New England that they loved – and in which they fell in love!
Their priorities for the day were a rustic and beautiful place, an outdoor space embracing the season, and an open bar for a rockin’ party. They used local vendors, including all organic food, and made sure the dance floor was always full! The theme for the food was “from farm to fork” courtesy of Firehouse Catering. The pies, cookies, and cake was from Sweet Tooth, a local bakery in South Boston.
One of the best moments of the day was the surprise bracelet Pat presented to Michelle. In her words:

“The Bracelet was an offshoot really of our entire relationship. When we were dating, Pat was in law school and always talked about how he wanted me to have nice things but financially it was tough for him. We had put all of our money and efforts into this wedding, but little did I know Pat had been stashing away every little bit he could and listening carefully to my conversations with girlfriends about how much I loved David Yurman’s designs and as they all hard rings, bracelets, etc… he knew how badly I also wanted one as well, someday at least. When Pat gave it to me he told me that he would always find a way to make my dreams come true and that we were on our way. He was right and it’s still my favorite piece of jewelry .. except for my engagement and wedding rings of course!”
