A herb themed wedding is a terrific way to celebrate your summer wedding. The possibilities of this kitchen lovers wedding theme are endless. One of our favorites has to be all the herb themed desserts- like lavender cupcakes or strawberries with mint whipped cream. Yum Yum!

Placing herb arrangements around your wedding will not only look amazing, but will also add a lovely fragrance to your event. Since so many herbs have different shapes and textures creating fetching herb arrangements can easily be done. You can add a pop of color with edible flowers like lavender and nasturtiums.
Use herbs in your bouquet to shew flies and other insects!
Although the weather is lovely in the summer, insects and flies always seem to be around. One of our least favorite has to be mosquitoes, you can easily place citronella, basil, or tansy in your wedding bouquet to ward off these pesky insects. Sage, fever-few, and white blossoms will deter flies. We think this is the best idea ever!
Say Thank You with herb wedding favors! Wrap a potted herb in burlap and place a cute thank you card in the pot. You could ask your stationer to design them for you like the ones below from Something Blue.
