Katie’s bridesmaids and maid of honor threw Katie her bridal shower, and the goal was to make Katie feel special and loved so they decided to plan a French Infused bridal shower – influenced by her study abroad time in France during college days. Tying in lace, lockets, architectural salvage, sea foam, pink and gray were naturally incorporated into the overall event design. Flowers atop vintage books wrapped in twine for centerpieces spoke of her study abroad time in France. Her gift to her maid of honor one year was an old vintage Bible from her trip to France which was included in one of the centerpieces. French bread and brie were a part of the menu which were her favorite foods while in France. The cake table was more intricate than the actual food table because of Katie’s love for cakes.
Starters: A variety of bread, cheeses and dips
Main Course: turkey and provolone cheese wraps, chicken salad croissant sandwiches, cucumber tea sandwiches, pasta salad, summer berry spinach, salad
Sweets: Strawberry White Chocolate Chip Cupcakes with butter-cream frosting, vanilla cupcakes with an almond whipped cream filling and almond butter-cream Frosting, red velvet whoopie pies, a variety of fruit tarts and petite bars, cocoa applesauce bundt cake, mini candy bar
