Originally Ethan and Myca were planning a destination wedding, but as soon as they started the planning process they realized they wanted to make their wedding accessible to everyone. So, the put the kibosh on a destination wedding and moved their wedding venue to their grandparents’ backyard.
With the help of family and Friends, they created a memorable wedding filled to the brim with gorgeous florals and details. Not to mention, done on a $2,000 budget. We adore the bridesmaid dresses by Adrianna Papell from Nordstrom. The champagne color goes beautifully with the soft pink and peach color palette, and intricate lace overlay gives the dresses a vintage touch. They go perfectly with the wedding … don’t you think?
Ethan and Myca had an intimate tent reception in the backyard with 50 guests. Ethan’s mom is a former florist and designed all the wedding florals. She actually designed the entire wedding from florals to favors and kept it under 2,000 dollars for all of the look and feel of the wedding! Super impressive.
For dessert they had a gorgeous cake but they also brought out home made goodies. This is a terrific idea if you are trying to keep under a budget. Ask friends and family members to contribute to the wedding by bringing their favorite treat.

What a beautiful wedding – and an impressive budget!! :) Congratulations to Myca and Ethan. I love the “bride” cup … even though I am now divorced it still makes me smile to remember how happy the Starbucks employees were for me when I drove through fresh from the hair salon, the morning of my wedding, with my veil on and two bridesmaids in the car. (And my coffee was on the house, so sweet!) I love little moments like that and the photographic touches that capture them :)
Beautiful photos and wedding! I am wondering how this $2,000 budget was applied since the photographer’s fees start at $2,500!! I’m assuming that the $2,000 budget only realistically applies to the design, florals and other details and not to the rented tent, chairs, and tables, catered dinner, professional cake, beautiful wedding dress, makeup, suits, etc.

Yes, Karen. I believe when Myca said they had a $2,000 budget that was for the design of the wedding of all the things you mentioned. My commissions were more than that budget! I was blown away by how simply elegant and intimate their wedding was!
