From the Bride:Being a photographer myself made choosing the right photographer a task to say the least. Although never meeting Anna in person before our engagement session, we knew we made the right choice after seeing Anna Page Photography's work online. Once meeting Anna we saw she has a way of making you feel comfortable and at ease while making you look amazing through her lens. As both Dylan and I are not normally the ones in front go the camera, those were important traits that Anna did not disappoint us with.

Dylan's 5 year old sister, Rachel, had a stoke a few years ago. We couldn't imagine our wedding without her and so we hunted down a Radio Flyer wagon on Craigslist and had my niece Sierra pull her down the aisle.

Early on in our engagement we came up with the idea of a unity plant, this integrated Dylan's passion for horticulture into the day. It was important to us to retrieve soil from our family, including our parents and grandparents as the families became one. I was even lucky enough to venture out to my Grandfather's garden the summer before the wedding in Illinois with him and collect the soil before he passed.

I would recommend a day of coordinator. I thought it would be an easy place to save some money as I didn't need help planning, what I didn't realize was that I needed help on the day of the wedding. Having someone other than myself to keep us going and on time would have relieved so much stress on the front end of the day, as well as the clean up in the evening.

We wanted a cake topper that we could get some use out of after the wedding. As we were registering at Macy's we came across a set of little bird salt and pepper shakers. We knew that this would be the prefect idea. It will always be a sweet reminder of our day whenever we use them throughout their life together. The topper was accompanied by a mini banner and complemented the divinely tasting and looking cake made by Jans Custom Cakes.

Read on to hear even more about the planning process and to see how much this green and gold wedding at The Enchanted Barn cost. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.

From the Bride:
Dylan and I knew we wanted something unique, full of charter and gushing with charm. We knew we found the prefect venue the first moment we drove into the country and laid eyes on The Enchanted Barn nearly a year and half before we got married. Dylan and I enjoy the great outdoors and every thing unique and the barn fit the bill perfectly. But the barns amazing staff is why we would recommend them to anyone looking to getting married at a barn, they simply cannot be beat!
I planned every detail down to the minute. But weddings are fluid and always have a few hiccups, my best advice to all brides is to go with it. Your day will fly by after months of planning, so try not to stress and let the day unfold the best it can. After running later earlier in the day we weren't able to get as many portraits of the wedding party as we would have liked. So following the "I Dos" we all hopped on the bus and went for an adventure to find the perfect spot to get a few more portraits and with Anna's eye, we were not worried nor were we disappointed with the results.
Many of the details at the wedding we put our crafting and handyman skills to use. Dylan crafted the Corn Hole and Ladder games and I painted them. It was a fun project we could work on together and will enjoy for long after. I saw the banners online and knew that is was a great and easy way to add color and character to the day and we made all the torn banners hung around the barn as well as behind the head table. I also crafted nearly every other detail that was personalized to our day. It is a fun way to really make our wedding about who we are as a couple. It showed our style and dedication to making our day all that it should be, perfect to us.
I was originally convinced we wanted a 2nd shooter at the wedding, but after finding the right photographer to fit our needs and personality, that notion was set to ease by finding our dream photographer. I do want to remind all brides, that this is truly one of the most important vendors at your wedding. Take time and remember this is how you will look back on your big day, so choose wisely.
We wanted to give a favor that the guests could take with them and look at fondly with warm memories of our wedding. We decided on air plants as a unique and whimsical favor to share with our guests. We know that many of our guests are having fun caring for their air plants.
I made personalized hangers for all the girls in the wedding party, it was a fun and easy keepsake that our bridesmaids will cherish. I gave the girls their gifts in personalized bags from Wedding Chicks, another fun and easy gift that will be used again and again. The Groomsmen received personalized flasks and matching socks.
Over the course of our year and half engagement I lost over 50 pounds to look good on my wedding day. At my final fitting, in my gut I knew I should have gotten my wedding dress taken in a second time. But to save a few dollars, I didn't. It was so loose on my wedding day and the corset was all the way together, in the end I still felt beautiful, it was never falling down, and in reality it didn't look as baggy as it felt.
I knew I wanted a statement necklace, but after much searching online, due to not finding what was quite right, and honestly the cost of them seemed a little astronomical, I decided to give it a go. One of my bridesmaids and I fashioned my necklace, by pieces I already had and some I purchased to put together. We included pearl strands from my Grandmother on my moms side as well as a strand from my Great Grandmother on my fathers side. In the end it made a priceless piece I wear even now. Just be sure you work with someone who knows what they are doing so it won't break on your big day!
Our final cost came in around $22,000
I believe you should spend a lot on 3 things - Venue, Photography, DJ -- This was nearly 68% of our budget.
