Today we are shining the spotlight on retro style hair dos. To this day hairstyles from the 40′s and 50′s are still some of the most sought after glamorous looks out there. Think Rita Haworth, Lana Turner or Veronica Lake for some vintage style inspiration. These statement-making hair dos are a perfect addition to any vintage inspired bride’s wedding look and feel.
As with any hairdo, we recommend having your stylist do a test run to make sure you love it. So excited to design and pull off this shoot with Justine Lynn! We had a blast coordinating and planning this whole thing over a period of 2 months. It was a blast and special thanks also to Amanda Bossi, Marie Mashyna, Ali Soukovich, Molly Finn and Jess Young for the gorgeous modeling. :)
Our idea for a 1940′s Style Tea Party & Picnic all came together and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
It all started with my Grandmother’s dresses…
Hoping to put some life back into the memories of playing dress up as a child in my Grandmother’s beautiful dresses Elizabeth Rametta Craig and I danced with the idea of a Reto Revived Tea Party. I had so much fun designing and creating all the girls looks including my second dabble in set design.
