Before you make the jam you are going to need a few supplies
1. hexagonal glass jars (or any small jamming jars will do)
2.pinking shears (you are going to need these to make the zig zag on the fabric, it not only looks cute, but allows the fabric not to tear
3. bakers twine
4. cute fabric (we love the idea of using different complimentary fabrics for each of the jars)
We have a super easy Strawberry Jam Recipe for you from littleton co op
Ingredients:
2 pounds fresh strawberries, hulled
4 cups white sugar
¼ cup lemon juice
Directions:
1. In a wide bowl, crush strawberries in batches until you have 4 cups of mashed berry.
2. In a heavy bottomed saucepan, mix together the mashed strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir over low heat until the sugar is dissolved.
3. Increase heat to high, and bring the mixture to a full rolling boil. Boil, stirring often, until the mixture reaches 220° F.
4. Transfer to hot sterile jars, leaving ¼ to ½ inch head space and seal. Process in a water bath.
If the jam is going to be eaten right away, don’t bother with processing, and just refrigerate.

I’m a big fan of consumable favors, and there’s nothing tastier than homemade strawberry jam! If you have a kitchenaid mixer, throw your washed and hulled berries in there and just stir briefly. No need for a masher (no single purpose tools in my kitchen if I can help it!) and it’s so easy!

Cute idea! Most brides are going for edible favors that are least likely to be trashed after the wedding. A lot are also going for D.I.Y. that will not only save them money, but make their favors more personal and from the heart.
Sweet little cloth favor bags-great idea AND on sale! http://t.co/xcTJ0Tl2 @weddingchicks
super cute, but a come canner wouldn’t be able to safely seal a jar like that. You would need to use a jar with a 2-part canning lid, like a kerr or a mason
