North Carolina Pink And Blue Vintage Wedding

While some trends are slow to catch on, some seem to stick like glue. Take the vintage moment, it has become a universal go to trend that seems to be the norm in today’s wedding. With it’s ladylike appeal, romantic touches and overall prettiness it is hard not to love a vintage wedding.

Truth be told we are fans the on going trend, and we know you are as well. That is why you are going to love our next  pink and blue vintage wedding. This North Carolina wedding has all the vintage touches from a french dot Melissa Sweet wedding gown to a carefully curated selection of antiques that decorated the reception. To see more inspiring details, see the entire gallery , all captured by North Carolina wedding photographers Picsee Studio.

From The Bride:

I love accessories and I am very detailed oriented. My something blue was a ring my grandmother gave me that she bought from forever 21 a small blue flower with a pearl center. Now get out your hanky my sweet grandpa gave me a old hat pin my great grandmother wore for my something old we put it through the center of my sash which was tied in a bow. The pin had a crown on it and he said it would bring me good luck. My something borrowed was my grandpa’s hanky he passed away a few years ago and we were extremely close. I tucked his hanky under my sash which I sure was glad to have during the ceremony. My necklace came from charming charlies and my hair accessories was ordered off ETSY.

My fiance is a good old country boy and getting him to wear a bow tie was not an easy task! All the boys ties were ordered from ETSY and believe it or not their attire came from JC Penny’s :).

We really wanted to do something different during the ceremony and our pastor came up with the best idea. He read a verse that stated “let no man tearth a sunder” and tied our wrists together which remained tied as we walked down the isle husband and wife :). The reception was rocking with our live band the Twang Bangers and our smores bar. Everyone’s feet were tired and belly’s full as we drove away in BJ’s grandfather’s old bell air the perfect ending to our perfect day.

Collecting antiques runs in the family and the majority of our decor came from my grandma’s antique. Trista Whitely my wedding planner really got in my head and made my vintage eclectic vision come to life. When it came to picking out photographers I knew instantly the Picsee Studio were the ones for me! They captured our wedding day flawlessly and made our retro vibe beautiful. My dress was designed by Melissa Sweet the style name is Dora. The sample I tried on was grey, torn and about 10 sizes too big but I knew that was my dress and 20 years from now I will still know that was the perfect dress!

North Carolina Castle Wedding At The Biltmore Estate

Once upon a time, there was a young girl who dreamed of having a fairy-tale wedding at a picture perfect castle. A horse drawn carriage that would carry her to marry her prince charming and they would dance the night away. Dreams really do come true, and if you are a North Carolina bride or willing to travel, you too can have your fairy-tale wedding at the Biltmore Estate. Horse drawn carriage included. Unfortunately prince charming is not provided.

Luckily, Casey, our next bride had her prince charming for her castle wedding. Event designer Wedding Inspirations designed a day with the prettiest florals, paired with mismatched antiques and mercury glass. Casey’s grandparent’s silver tea set was on the tables and their old luggage was used as end tables. They even had a cigar lounge for late night chats. Such a dreamlike event. To see more of this North Carolina Castle Wedding be sure to visit the entire gallery. Captured by Two Ring Studios.

Get inspired!  Old windows were hung from the ceiling with rope and all the seating assignments were typed out and printed on white paper, and placed in the window panes. We can’t help but love this clever idea. We also want to make sure you notice the signs on the back of the chairs. We have hunch you are going to like what they say.

Elegant Barnyard Wedding By Erich McVey Photography

Simply put, Erich McVey Photography really knows how to capture a wedding. That is why he is part of our Hand-Picked collection. You can really see how captivating his work is from our next feature -Flavius & Nicky’s elegant barnyard wedding. A dreamy affair filled with meticulously  curated details, all found by the bride and groom.

One of our favorite details is the reclaimed wood box centerpieces, made by the groom’s dad. The were filled with succulents and reindeer moss creating an elegant yet rustic wedding centerpiece. As you will see they used the arrangements for the aisle decor, then again as the wedding centerpieces. Such a clever idea … don’t you think? See all the stunning photos in the full wedding gallery by clicking here and be sure to check out their wedding film below captured by Joel Vanz Outdoor Wedding Films.

We rarely hear from the groom, but Flavius shared with us favorite memory from their wedding.

My favorite memory was seeing Nicky for the first look and seeing her walk down the aisle. It was a very exciting and special moment, one that I will always remember and cherish.

From the bride:

For some reason Flav and I both have always been attracted to old barns. I think the thing that attracts us both to it so much is the architectural details, the purity, and how a building like this just speaks for itself, but we never really knew we would get married at a barn until we went and toured Red Barn Studios. The think the impressive gothic truss structural system, the exposed wood, and the pure beauty is what sold us. When it came to the decor and inspiration behind the whole day, we knew we wanted to keep it minimal and simple, again letting the barn speak for itself. We knew we wanted the details that we included to seem as if those they belonged, and for everything to look cohesive and natural.

With the help of all our family and friends we were also able to create some diy projects which were so fun! We created the picture frame with our pictures and a linen background with hand made wood push pins to hold the pictures, the candle holders with lace wrapped around them, the dessert stands, our signs, our wood holders for our reserved signs, our moss F and N letters, the beautiful reclaimed wood box centerpieces made by Flav’s dad, and our guest book table and bench also made by Flav’s dad. With everyone’s help, everything turned out so perfect and we are so thankful for all the help everyone offered to make our day so special and memorable.

Flav and I looove going to estate sales, antique shopping and going to auctions, so the moment we found our venue, we knew we were going to use all of the things that we have accumulated through the years, and we also knew we wanted to scout for all of the other details we wanted. Almost everything you see in our wedding , from the milk crate, typewriter, water jugs, all of the plates and silverware, and so on came from auctions, estate sales, wholesale stores, craigslist, and goodwill.

You simply must watch the wedding film captured by  Joel Vanz Outdoor Wedding Films. It is simply lovely. We know you will absoutley love.
