Spring Engagement Session From Squaresville Studios

Where are you going to capture your engagement session is the first question? The second most popular questions is, “what are you going to wear?” Obviously something cute and obviously something that represents your style. Of course, you also have to seamlessly blend it it all together with your love’s outfit, without looking too matchy-matchy.

We think Cameron and Angela did a marvelous job of putting together their engagement outfits, and pairing it with the bubbles the VW Beatle. See our version of their adorable, relaxed outfits below. Enjoy more of this spring engagement session captured by Dallas wedding photographer, Squaresville Studios in the full gallery.

From Squaresville Studios:

“Oh dear spring. I love you so much. You are a picnic in the park, a picture of the greenest of green grass, you are a warm sweater over a sun dress, a sun kiss on my check, you are a road trip to the countryside, you are the smile on my face when I wake up. Spring you are just so lovely! You are my favorite season.”

With this session I wanted to portray exactly this joyous feeling of spring. I imagined a beautiful tree with branches reaching to the ground, a vintage car and a beautiful couple in love. I chose Angela & Cameron for this session and although they are not engaged…yet.. they were the absolute perfect couple for it. Their love really shines through in all those images.

DIY Oak Canyon Nature Center Wedding

Travis and Christin cared about three things at their wedding … that it would be simple, organic and significant. They stuck to their plan and everything, from her dress, to the decorations and the location all contained those three important elements. They designed and hand-crafted everything from the wedding invitations and programs to the ceremony and reception decor. With help from both  their families, they were able to pull off their DIY Oak Canyon Nature Center Wedding.

See more of Travis and Christin’s wedding in the full gallery all photographed by San Luis Obispo wedding photographers He & She Photography. My flowers made me cry. I had no idea they would be that beautiful. My mom made all the desert and even our cake because I am Gluten free. Our nieces and nephews were ring bearers and flower girl. (we love them). One of my favorite parts of the day was giving our flower girl Kayla her gift. We gave her a handkerchief that belonged to her great, great grandmother. I know she doesn’t understand the significance now, but one day she will. We included with it a letter from us which expressed our hope that she would carry the handkerchief on her wedding day for her “something old”.

Our Ceremony location was chosen because shortly after we got engaged several different people at different times spoke a word of encouragement over us which was “blessed is the person who trusts in the Lord, they will be that a tree planted by the water whose roots run deep. It does not fear in the time of drought because it will never cease to bear fruit” When I found this lovely nature center with its serene environment and giant trees that were clearly drawing water form the the stream that ran behind the alter I knew it was it. I took Trav there the next day and we were hooked. Everything about that place is tranquil, peaceful and so significant to us.

All of our decorations were DIY. We wrapped the 20 something yarn bottles, the mason jars are Travis’ great-grandmothers (literally turned blue because of age). I LOVED having them as part of our wedding. We used old suitcases, windows and burlap. And as you know, succulents!
