DIY Newspaper Chandelier: Create Stunning Decor on a Budget!

DIY newspaper chandelier hanging from the ceiling for home decor

As you know, we are huge fans of handmade projects and especially love sharing with you how to create them. Even more so if the project is doable like our next diy from Experience Events.
Using only newspapers, Experience Events crafted an amazing chandelier. Read on to see how they created this stunning piece and stay tuned to see the entire set up. By the way you, could also use colored tissue paper and create the same effect.

Supplies scissors, tape, 14″ embroidery hoop, butchers twine, newspaper (tissue paper would be amazing as well!)
STEP 1 : cut newspaper into 3″ wide strips (need 14 strips)
STEP 2 : cut fringe into both sides of strips leaving 1/2-1″ down the center STEP 3 : run fingers down the strips to separate the fringe STEP 4 : attach the strips to the top of embroidery hoop by wrapping them around and securing with scotch tape.
STEP 5 : tie bakers twine (or ribbon) at three places around the hoop, secure in knot and hang from ceiling or fixture STEP 6 : scrunch up each strip to fluff the fringe and add lots of texture
