DIY Newspaper Chandelier

As you know, we are huge fans of handmade projects and especially love sharing with you how to create them. Even more so if the project is doable like our next diy from Experience Events.

Using only newspapers, Experience Events crafted an amazing chandelier. Read on to see how they created this stunning piece and stay tuned to see the entire set up. By the way you, could also use colored tissue paper and create the same effect.

Thank you again to Experience Events for sharing this do-it-yourself project with us. Be sure to stay tuned to see the entire shoot.

Supplies scissors, tape, 14″ embroidery hoop, butchers twine, newspaper (tissue paper would be amazing as well!)
STEP 1 : cut newspaper into 3″ wide strips (need 14 strips)
STEP 2 : cut fringe into both sides of strips leaving 1/2-1″ down the center
STEP 3 : run fingers down the strips to separate the fringe
STEP 4 : attach the strips to the top of embroidery hoop by wrapping them around and securing with scotch tape.
STEP 5 : tie bakers twine (or ribbon) at three places around the hoop, secure in knot and hang from ceiling or fixture
STEP 6 : scrunch up each strip to fluff the fringe and add lots of texture

OMG!! LOVE LOVE LOVE. The newspaper chandelier and other decorations. I love recycling stuff like that. Congrats on your wedding. The pics are beautiful.
My husband and I used Iron Horse Properties for our wedding in Crested Butte, CO. We were married in an awesome rustic lodge. Iron Horse properties and Crested Butte were beautiful and romantic. We stayed in a cozy cabin with a fireplace and a hot tub. Our families had a huge lodge all to themselves. It had a pool table, hot tub, 7 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms and 3 master suites! We had personal chefs and the food was top notch. Our concierge made sure we were happy and planned some awesome activities for us and our families. We even went on a Dogsled tour! The prices are reasonable. We got FREE ski rentals while we were there and our last night was free. Iron Horse has specials all the time.
Our family and friends were comfortable in the Iron Horse rental properties. My husband and I will definitely be going back to stay at the Iron Horse in Crested Butte, CO. We are thinking about making an annual anniversary trip to Iron Horse. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Iron Horse at Crested Butte, CO., and recommend it as an awesome wedding destination. We went in the winter, but Iron Horse and Crested Butte is also a great place to go in the summertime. We cannot wait to go back to Crested Butte. Sigh!!
