Sodo Park Wedding

Kaleigh and Nick married at Seattle’s Sodo Park. A super hip wedding venue just minutes from downtown Seattle, featuring exposed-beams, high ceilings and an urban-loft design. Perfect for a rustic indie wedding. With good food and great friends, what more could you want?

The boys played a Beatles tune as the couple had their recessional, hence all the musical instruments. The bride gave the groom that sweet vintage banjo as a gift. First things first- these colors are one of my favorite combinations. They’re so happy but at the same times super sophisticated. Next- a beatles tune?! I love it. I also just cannot get over the TOMS. I’m obsessed with their wedding-line and the great cause they support. This wedding looks amazing!

I would like to re-create the cake… does anyone know if they used fondant and buttercream or one or the other? Did they air brush the colour on or is it in the icing?

The cake was made by the crew of The People’s Cake in Seattle. Fondant with a chocolate wrap and sugar flowers. One of our favorites!
