Van Gogh Inspired Rustic Wedding Decorations

We absolutely adore the idea of making your wedding as personal as possible. If something has always inspired you, maybe a china pattern or perhaps a Van Gogh painting, we suggest you run with it and never look back.

A Blushing Romance Event Co. has been inspired by Irises, a painting by Van Gogh for many years and centered an entire shoot around the famous painting. Filled with vibrant floras and some to die for wedding calligraphy from Calligraphy by Hillary.

This Van Gosh inspired shoot filled with rustic wedding decorations was captured by Damaris Mia and there are so many more photos and information to read and see in the full wedding gallery.

A Roman Wedding By Jonas Peterson Photography

All aboard for a Roman countryside wedding from the incredible Jonas Peterson Photography. Taking place at an old farmhouse venue that has been around since ancient Etruria, La Torracia di Sutri.

Read on to hear tid bits on the wedding from Jonas. Of course be sure to view the entire wedding in the full gallery.

From Jonas: The bride had to powder her nose on the way to the ceremony (They got ready in Rome) and the bridal party and I pulled in to this gas station. Being Italy, you can buy drinks everywhere, so the bride decided to order a round of champagne for everyone. Sounds perfect to us.

Yes, the bridesmaids are dancing. They are moving and a grooving to ABBA’s Dancing Queen.

You will notice one of the bridesmaids singing. She’s frantically afraid of public speaking and performing, but for her best friend’s wedding she decided to conquer her fear and sing a (Swedish) song to the bride.
At the end of the night the entire bridal party jumped into the pool. The mother of the groom was not impressed. We think it is a perfect ending to a magical night.

Mexico Wedding Invitations From Zenadia Design

Happy Saturday! Who is thinking about having a Mexico destination wedding? If so, you are going to need some Mexico Wedding Invitations. Lucky for you we have Zenadia Design to share with us these tranquil wedding invites inspired by the spirit of Mexico.

From Zenadia Design:

A mosaic pattern that Brittany and Javier had seen on a recent trip to Mexico became the inspiration for their invitation suite. Brittany expressed that she wanted an invitation that would get her guests excited, and convey the feeling of Mexico, without being beachy.

In keeping with the spirit of Mexico, I combined the beautiful mosaic that originally inspired us, with patterns inspired by Mexican tile and artwork. I loved the end result of mixing patterns and colors. Instead of doing a full pocket folder Brittany liked the idea of the pocket on the back of the invitation for all her insert cards.

Tip: Combining different shades of one color can make for a beautiful and clean color palette. Shades of blue with white create a clean look, shades of pink with gold can make for an elegant and feminine affair. Pick a color and start combining shades!

Brittany’s invitation was thermography printed on cotton paper. I love the look and feel of thermography. That little bit of texture from the printing keeps things interesting. I always feel it’s important for your guests to be able to feel something, other than paper, so textures play a big part in all the design work I do.

What is thermography? Thermography is a raised ink and much like engraving, but not nearly as pricey.
