Creating An Extraordinary Dessert Table

Imagine if your good friend volunteered to play Willy Wonka for your wedding. That is exactly what happened to Rachel and Mark. We just had to share what Sandra Denneler created for these two love birds. A lemon lime feast for the eyes and the taste buds. There are so many more photos to see in the full gallery.

Rachel likes sweet things. But Mark, is more of a salty guy. So Sandra had a mixed ensemble of all things sweet & salty – in various shades of greens and yellows. Sandra shares more of how to create the perfect candy table below.

When creating a dessert table, remember to make it a feast for the eyes, as well as the lips. Carefully consider the color of the food, the table, and your containers. Display things at varied heights and make them easy for people to grab and eat. Try to use an assortment of containers – vases, buckets, boxes, wine glasses, bowls, and plates from home will work just great. Personalize the table with photos, memorabilia, words, letters, paper accents, etc. And remember, not everyone likes sweet treats. It’s always good to mix in some salty selections too. Be sure to see more of this amazing set up in the full gallery.

Just wanted to let you know that you spelled desert which is a dry sandy arid place. Dessert (the sweet treat) is spelled with two letter s’s. It’s easy to remember this because if you want dessert, wouldn’t you want two s’s instead of just one? If you spell it with one s, you are in the dry, hot desert. :)
