Handmade Metropolitan Building Wedding From Ryan Brenizer Photography

Every element of our next wedding was carefully hand-made with love. One of our favorite elements were the paper flower arrangements. Quite clever. This thoughtful wedding took place at the fantastic Metropolitan Building and was photographed by Ryan Brenizer. Enjoy all the details and splendid ideas from this New York wedding. I’m the BRIDE!!!! :) …. and the designer-slave-mania who put this whole thing together :)
Being a wedding photographer myself, I needed to feel like I was in a complete different world. I didn’t want to feel like I was going to work, instead of getting married, so the whole thing had to feel different, personal…. of course I took ideas from blogs here and there, but the thing was trying to find balance and correlation among all the ideas.
I designed every piece of paper, starting with the wedding invites! every little thing passed by my hands. It was such an incredibly long process, but hey! It paid off :)
Having Ryan there was a dream come true!! Our wedding was special, fun and very “ours” and he captured it all.

Maly – what an amazing wedding. I love the paper flowers you created. Are you willing to share how these were created? I am looking at using paper and other textiles rather than real flowers for my wedding and these by far surpass any I have seen.

  21. Congratulations Malia! So well thought out and beautifully executed. I’ve even hunted down a similiar DIY tutorial for those paper bouquets to share with my blog readers – cos I know they’ll be a hit!!! :)

  24. hi! I am the florist who put all those wonderful flowers (the love one) together for the centerpieces, made the bouquets and boutonnieres and the hanging flag banner. I also helped the bride (my best friend) shop for vintage vases and accessories for the decor.
I am very proud that everyone loves it!

  25. 25. Hannah Mason says:

I love how unique this wedding is! And the baby in the sunglasses? priceless.

  26. 26. Carla says:

Hi! I was the florist for this wedding! Plus the bride’s best friend, Maid of Honor and the mother of that gorgeous little baby girl on the dancefloor.
I would love to share more wedding pictures of my work on your blog. My very talented friend Maly worked so hard making all the details for this wedding and I was so honored that I was able to put together the florals and capture her vision. The whole thing came together wondefurlly. It was a great day.
