It is so refreshing when we see a wedding hand-crafted by a bride that is doable. Lindsay, the bride, never considered herself a particularly crafty person, but like a lot of you out there the wedding DIY bug hit her and she begin to plan and craft.
She took on many of the thoughtful touches such as the guest book, programs, menus, seating chart, signage, toss cones, welcome bags and table numbers. All of this with a full time job. Read more about their elegant Alabama wedding by clicking here. Be sure to see the full wedding gallery photographed by Jessica Wright Photography.

One idea that we think you might like is in lieu of sending the guests home with a wedding favor, you can make a donation to your favorite charity. Lindsay and Rob honored their guests by making a contribution to The American Red Cross in support of the Alabama Tornado Relief fund.

I love purple and so I LOVE these flowers. Fun and beautiful at the same time!
Beautiful! Where are the hangers from? I love them!
Thanks Laura! I actually made the hangers. I just bought regular wooden hangers and used a rubber stamp set to stamp on the individual letters. After the ink dried, I went over it with a Sharpie to make sure it would be permanent and then wiped them off with a wet paper towel so they wouldn’t smudge.

I LOVE every detail of this wedding! Gorgeous :)
where are your bridesmaid dresses from and which style?
I love your table with the pictures of your parents/grandparents. Can you tell me what you wrote in the frames with the writing? I had this same idea for my wedding and would love to hear what you put. Thanks!
Gorgeous!!!!!
Great ideas!!!
Thanks everyone for the sweet comments. Alexa, the bridesmaids dresses were from J. Crew (on sale!) style Sydney (in the cotton cady fabric). Sarah, we didn’t actually have a sign explaining the grandparent pictures. The signs you see on the table are about the guest book and the charitable donation in lieu of favors.
Sorry we missed the event. It looks like it was a beautiful event and that everyone had a great time.
Lindsay and Rob you both look so happy! I’m so sorry I missed your beautiful wedding. Thank you Jennifer for sharing the photos…they’re gorgeous!xoxo
i love the envelope quest book. Where did you find the small cards? and what size were they?
Is this The American Village? We’d love to shoot a rustic Alabama wedding there someday! You guys look great, and it sounds like it was truly an intimate and joyous celebration.
i absolutely LOVE your decorations! where did you get the easel for your table number display? i have been looking all over the place for one!
Where did you get your hangers for the bridesmaid dresses made?! Or did you make them yourself?
