  10. Here’s a detail breakdown of how Ema and Joey put together their stunning DIY wedding.

Wedding gown: maggie sottero couture dress (bought from mariposa boutique in anaheim <–great place!)

Shoes: seychelles brand…i had them from a couple years ago hadn't worn them much but they are SUUPER comfortable (the in soles are made by my husband (he works with leather and made those to replace the ones the shoe came with))

Veil: was hand made by a dear friend Chantelle Watson (very talented :))

Brides maid dresses: they all chose their own dress…i chose the color =]

Brides maid sashes: hand made with orange ribbon and lace overlay hand sewn

Brides maid shoes: a last minute thing done by a dear friend Lori Stan…very talented and gifted she is a blessing in so many ways!

Hair: Denise D'Angelo (international hair concepts in huntington beach)

Makeup: by a dear friend Rachel Lindberg

    flower girl dresses: on

Joey and i met at work (Medieval Times) i was a food server (peasant) and he was a knight (royalty) We fell in love with each other completely differently…..he was a "love at first sight" my love for him was more of a "grown" then a fall lol….this is how we got our "fairy tale story" <3

everything was different with him, he inspired me in such a way that no one has before…and so he was the MAIN inspiration for the ideas of our wedding.

While planning our wedding…we made a goal together…i told Joey that i want our wedding to reflect our love for each other and most importantly to inspire others through the love we share.

We decided we wanted to have an outdoor evening wedding because we love nature, and evenings are our favorite time of day because it is calmer and more romantic. We wanted to use earth toned colors because of the atmosphere they create in an outdoor venue … serene.

We wanted a theme to the wedding…so while looking up different themes and ideas, we realized that none of them fit what we had in mind…so we mixed the ones we liked….we mixed rustic, country, vintage, with a splash of elegance and a twist of a modern fairytale kick (ahaha). I was the one with the butterflies everywhere…i've loved butterflies as a little girl and joey made me feel like that…wild and free…alive…when we first started dating i told him "you make me feel like i am in a field of wild flowers with butterflies all over"…he thought it cute and always reminded me and asked me if i still feel that way…and yes he always did and i know he always will…and so i wanted our wedding day to reflect that feeling of a natural free love alive in every way…a reflection of the love we share

We used wooden green buckets as centerpieces (bought these in bulk :::score!:::) all the flowers in our center pieces are natural dried flowers which we arranged)

the table runners are burlap (sage green) with lace sewn on the sides (these were also hand sewn)

all the bouquets were hand made by me … same dried flowers as the center pieces)

the boutonnières and corsages were made by my sister in law Claudia (SHE DID ALL THE DESIGNS AND SET UP OF THE WEDDING<33)

our favors were small honey jars…the jars were purchased online and filled with fresh organic honey by a family at our church =]…we used fabric and ribbon to cover the top and wooden hearts to label them.

the cake was done by my wonderful mother, i gave her ideas and she RAN with them,,it was SOOO amazing i LOVED it.

i had alot of help from family and friends…everything from ideas to putting things together, prayer, set up, EVERYTHING…if people offer to help TAKE IT it is a TRUE blessing we would not have been able to have the wedding we did without our family and friends and all the time, support and love they had for us and still have for us.

the wedding came out better than i ever imagined it was a real dream come true…
