What does a DClove? An upscale DC wedding to photograph. The Mandarin Oriental proved to be the upscale venue for the wedding of Chip and Mila. The photography for this wedding was so easy, because this couple was sooooooo happy on their special day!
The Mandarin Oriental is always an exceptional venue and it proved to be nothing less than spectacular on this spring day! From the gorgeous burgundy accent colors to the pink cherry blossoms woven throughout the day, this affair was top notch all the way. Loved ones enjoyed the three course dinner, accompanied by Chip and Mila’s signature cocktail, followed not only by fresh donuts, but enticing candies to be found at the overflowing candy station.
But for us, the best part of the day was the moments we were able to quietly document Chip and Mila in love — the quiet moments, unobserved but for the quiet click of our cameras. These two really have a way of lighting up the room — it is as if no one else is even present when they look at each other. This is when we love being a wedding photojournalist! The vows spoken between them were so sincere that there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, including ours.
We absolutely looooooooooved how beautiful Mila looked in her very unique Vera Wang gown — but the crowning touch was her absolutely gorgeous burgundy Christian Dior shoes. Classy and elegant, this wedding was a joy to be a part of — thank you, Chip and Mila, for the honor of documenting the first day of your new family.
Joriana and I think the incredible joy of the day, along with the love shared among family, friends really came through in the slideshow.
