Why You Should Create a Wedding Website

Creating a wedding website is a great way for couples to tell their story and keep friends and family up to date on the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN WHY AND HOW of current wedding plans. Wedding Websites are easy to create, so don’t worry if your web skills are less than perfect. There are many companies out there that will help you get your website up and running in just a matter of a few easy steps.

You can start by registering and paying for a domain name, buy hosting, and then build the site. On the other hand, some couples prefer to hire a web designer. You can just provide thm with your info and they do the rest!  What many couples do then,  is choose a color, scheme and design that will coincide with the details of the wedding.

Include your names, date, when and where the wedding ceremony and reception will be held. Take the time to include directions for out-of-town guest. It’s helpful to include landmarks and maps. For hotel accomodations, include links to hotels that you have reserved room blocks for and recommend other hotel options.

While it’s customary to present the happy couple with a gift, you don’t want to assume nor expect your guests to give you one. It’s a delicate situation however you may carefully and discreetly add a link to your registry information for your guest. This process makes it very easy and convenient for everyone. Your guests will appreciate the gesture!

Some non-traditional couple also find it convenient and cost-effective to have guest RSVP on their wedding website rather than using a response card. Every situation is different. As you can see below, you can also add a page for your guests to choose their meal selections.

Everyone loves to hear about a great romance so include a story of how you met, fell in love and got engaged! A great way to do this is by inserting  photos and videos.
