DIY Wine Bottle Wedding Centerpieces: Easy Tutorial

Share

Festive wine bottle centerpiece with lights and ornaments

Do It Yourself, or DIY, wedding projects allow you to create your own personalized favors and touches that can be applied in any way you can imagine on your special day, for a shower, a party or whenever. All you need are some basic items and a little creativity.
These crazy-cute Do It Yourself Wine Bottle Centerpieces are perfect! Add a label with your wedding monogram and some LED Christmas lights with batteries to personalize them even more. They are simple to make and are extra special because you did them yourself. They’re also a great conversation piece. See other do-it-yourself wedding projects.
If you do not have any wine bottles on hand, they are still in the stores and marking them down. They also sell them on the internet all year round.

Here’s what you’ll need:
Wine Bottle Set of Mini LED Christmas Lights Your choice of dècor for wine bottle topper A handy friend to drill 1″ round opening in the back of bottle

Glass jar with a hole drilled in the side

1. drill a 1″ round opening in your wine bottle. You may want to attempt drilling through the glass yourself, in which case you will need a special drill bit from your local hardware store, safety eye wear, gloves and a mask.

2. string the strand of lights into the bottle (a flexible coat-hanger helps with this), leaving a few inches of cord and its plug on the exterior of wine bottle

3. Decorate the top of the wine bottle with faux berries, leaves and such. Plug the cord in and enjoy the Wine Bottle Light for a long time to come!
Of course a special thanks to Hilton Pittman Photography for all of their creativity and wedding magic.
