Easy centerpiece:
Fill a large bowl with various fruits & veggies. In this case we took gourds and pumpkins for added texture and color. To make our centerpiece more festive we added flowers to the center. Using the same big bowl that has the gourds & pumpkins, we then took regular drinking glasses as the vase to hold the flowers. We then took floral tape and tapped a grid over the top of the glass to create a little more stability with the flowers; this helps to support the flowers and gives us much more control as to where each stem goes. Cut the flowers to what size you want, then start adding them into the grid. The more flowers you add, the fuller the arrangement will look. Then sit the glass back in to the center of the bowl to hide the glass. Surround it with the pumpkins, gourds, and pomegranates. We also included a super neat alternative to an alcoholic beverage that anyone can enjoy: Golden Star White Jasmine, sparkling tea.

Canvas place mats or table runners:
Purchase 1 yard of canvas; we bought ours at the local fabric store for about $7.
Lay the canvas out and prime it. Once it's dry, cut the canvas into various sizes, we did ours 17" because our chairs were 17" wide. We wanted our place mats to look like birch trees so we kept the canvas mostly white with lines & knot holes drawn throughout. We then took brown paint and painted lines and knot holes that made it feel more like a birch tree. You can use any stencil or stamp to create a fun place mat or table runner for any time of year. We then finished off the canvas with names above each plate.
