Our next wedding took place in Washington at the historical Red Barn Farms. It has been in the Meyer family for over 100 years, but recently renovated into a rustic and elegant wedding venue. The 1903 timber-frame barn is the focal point and magical in the evening with the glow of soft light. An ideal spot for WA rustic barn yard wedding.
Betsy, the bride, did absolutely everything herself (with the help of her friends) or at least had the idea for those unique touches. She made the groom’s ring, flower arrangements, bouquets, centerpieces, candy table, tulle ceiling adornment (which made tossing the bouquet a little difficult), photobooth (decorated with family photos). She dyed her own slip blue (something blue!), chose the boys’ socks, and after not being able to find a chandelier that matched what she wanted, she made that herself as well. Talk about a DIY bride and of course a special thanks to Matt Shumate Photography.

Thanks for appreciating the care that was put in to this wedding by the bride & sharing it with the world. Beautiful bride. Beautiful venue. I had a pretty easy task of photographing it!

Hard to pick which one is my favorite b/c they are incredible images. The details of this wedding were awesome.
I absolutely love the photobooth idea. Does anyone know how they made this. plywood ? how did they get the structure supported?
What an incredible wedding. Matt is an awesome photographer and even better person. :)
@Nely It was plywood with a 2×4 frame. It was held up by 2×4 supports on either side. Send me an email & I’ll see if I can find a photo showing the sides.
loooooove the photo wall. Stinking adorable!
