It is day 4 of our Big Summer Bridal Giveaway and we have one of our favorite Wedding Chicks vendors, Paper & Thread Studio!
Lori is not just any invitation designer, she adds that little something extra to each of her designs. A lot of her pieces have some type of sewn element to them to add that little something special. Each piece is handcrafted, but without the homemade look and couture price tag. That is why we love her.

Paper & Thread Studio will be giving away 100 custom save the dates to one incredibly lucky couple.
How to win!
Visit Paper & Thread Studio or Lori’s blog to see all of her crafty work. Come back to The Wedding Chicks and share with us what you would love to see Lori design for you by leaving a comment. Enter as often as you like. Winners will be announced next week and all contests from the Big Summer Bridal Giveaway will close this Sunday, August 1, 2010!

Holy moley, what a giveaway! Something whimsical with gold and lilac and a rich plum ! My wedding is very romantic and fairy tale inspired so invitations to match?! I’m in love!
The menu and s’more package are also a nice touch!
I also love the feel of the invite for the camping theme wedding. I like that Lori’s work has a handmade look. I would love to have those type of details at my wedding but being in my second year of law school does not leave enough time for all of the DIY touches that I would like.

Holy Moly these are great invitations!!! Very creative. I love it :)
I love the muslin belly bands!
I would love to see Lori design my wedding invitation around a Mexican-influenced jewel tone mosaic design. This is a representation of who we are – a culturally rooted yet spunky and modern couple wanting a fun party! I can’t really picture what that looks like, but I’m sure Lori is already envisioning it!
I’d like to see a creative design for menu card…
The accordion style programs are cute too!
I’m in love with tags! Her stuff is beautiful of course, but the tag save the date is simply wonderful!

I’m picturing something bright, fun & whimsical for our save the dates! =)
Her style is so beautiful! Our vision is simple lettering and pictures of us holding paper signs. If it has stitching on the paper, all the better!

I like anything with pink!
They are all so unique. We’re looking for something that is unique to us. I’m from NY and he’s from CA. We live in San Francisco and are getting married in wine county. Ideally it’d be great to incorporate everything. Maybe after I find fabulous stationary everything else will fall into place : )

After looking at Lori’s site and blog I must say I am in love with her work! If I were lucky enough to win I would like something vintage looking with love birds.
I’d love something simple and elegant, but unique. My wedding colours are black, gold, and cream. Classy, with a touch of drama!

Oh my goodness! I have been following Paper & Thread’s blog since late 2008! Lori’s designs are amazing – I am so excited that you’re featuring her as one of your giveaways! I really love the recent luggage tag save the dates – they are awesome. Can’t wait to see the next new save the date designs that she announces.
Thanks for the chance to win this!!
I love the custom save the dates made for the couple where the groom preferred modern as oppose to the bride who liked vintage. Some how Lori managed to integrate the two opposing taste perfectly! So cute.

I would love it if Lori designed my table numbers! I’m doing so much of my wedding details myself and it would be a real treat to have a pro do something like that. Also, since I’m only having 5-6 tables, it wouldn’t be as much work as a whole bunch of invitations for her! :)
I would love something reflecting our theme: ethereal a la Midsummer Night’s Dream in plum and chartreuse. We may be incorporating aspen or birch bark in to the decor.
I would love to have a vintage carnival themed std with actual cloth bunting. light pastel colors and big typography and beautiful cloth fabric. <3

I love the simple scroll invitations. I also like the photo save the dates! My wedding is going to be romantic and vintage, with very soft creamy colors in 3/11. I am unfortunately not creative AT ALL, so I think the help of Lori would be fabulous!!
I would love something with a forest or outdoor theme… Our wedding is not until next year so we haven’t nailed down the details but it will definetly have an out door theme.
omg!!! i looove those john deer thank you cards!! so cute!
we are having a biker wedding, so i would love to see something with some vintage motorcycles, maybe a little metal, & ribbon, not to tough, not too fluffy, but still classy
I love these designs!!!! I would love to have something created that combines the pocketfold like the elegant hawaiian theme with more natural elements like the recycled paper.
I absolutely love, love her work. She is talented and very crafty. I would love to have her do my invites, programs and place cards. Our theme is two doves as the engagement ring mu fiancée gave me was his great great grandmothers and it has two doves engraved on the outside. I found this amazing vintage rod iron art pice with two doves and some foliage that I would have her use as the logo of sorts to print on the invites, the front of the programs and on the place cards. It would be great if she could use paper made with seeds as we love to recycle and would really love to have our guest plant their paper goods and watch them bloom.
I love the stitch work on all of these! I would really like something with a vintage-rustic feel, soft colors of peach, pink, cream, and perhaps some kraft paper.
Oh my! After checking her blog, I love these invitations!

Yay! Loving all the comments and ideas. Keep them coming.
Abbie, email me because we have a way to print on fabric now and the hankies sounds so fun.
Everything she makes is absolutely beautiful! I would love to see her give a try at favors. Another thing that I’ve heard about (and is adorable), is a way to have couples who attend the wedding write letters for the couple to open every year (one letter per couple, and they write to different years). I would love to see what kind of creative idea she creates around this!
These are so quaint and precious! I love them all, especially the black and white with the flower design in the upper corner. Just too lovely! These giveaways are sensational!
With so many beautiful designs to choose from, it’s so hard to say which of Lori’s designs is my favorite. I absolutely LOVE the growing tree theme baby shower invite. It’s soooooo cute!
I love the handmade look! Our wedding will be rustic, elegant, and (hopefully!) a lot of fun. I would love save-the-dates that convey all of that so our guests get a great first impression! (Oh, and the colors seagreen and gold, so it would be lovely to have those colors!)
WOW! What a great giveaway! I would love Lori to design the tree horoscope accordian program for my wedding next year.
My wedding motif are barely there pink, seafoam green, and light grey, and i’m getting married on winter of 2011 in Lake Tahoe…in a Cabin…So I would love to see Lori design something with those colors with a cool wintery feel.
I have bought 100 vintage hankies to use as my save the dates… but I need a fun and creative way to display them! (Including printing on them and tying them to a card, etc.) I’d love to work with Lori to create a perfect save the date!
We would also love to incorporate navy and pink with a southern flair. We are getting married at a restored southern plantation in North Carolina!
I love the save the date on Lori’s blog with the fun font and picture of the couple. Our families and most of our guests live in other states, and we aren’t able to see them very often, so we would love to share a picture from our engagement session.
I love the Aloha luggage tag Stds and I would love to do something similar for my Costa Rican wedding but with a more vintage feel.
All of the designs at Paper & Thread are gorgeous. I love the added element too, which are all super cool. Especially the fabric adorns I saw on baby shower invitations from March, on Lori’s blog.
I have no doubt she would exceed our stationary expectations! If we had the privelage of working with her, I’d ask for something simple using our colors of pink and green, and an added touch of garden or butterfly whimsy.
Our wedding theme and colors are honey and lavender, so I would like to incorporate this into our Save the Dates. But I would like the main image to be the monogram of two Js (our first names both start with J) transforming into a heart. :)
I would love to get some program fans made. I love the detailing in all of her designs.
I love the posters that she made for the nautical “wedding” (blog post dated 5/19/10). I’d love some custom one for the escort card table and candy bar. So cute!
I loooove the textured paper. Much like the custom save the dates she features on her blog I would love something which is personalized with a vintage feel for a laid back destination wedding!
I love the stitch work on all of these! I would really like something with a vintage-rustic feel, soft colors of peach, pink, cream, and perhaps some kraft paper.
i would love to see her design invites for our casual bbq reception at home following our destination wedding
This is such a great idea! We are taking engagement photos soon, so I would love to incorporate them into a save the date. Something simple and classic.
something to do with stars since that’s my theme. and my colors are gold & blue.
These invitations/save the dates are all beautiful!!! I love the western themed ones!
Our save the date vision!
parchment paper, feathers, simple typed lettering, film photos of us wearing masks and funny clothes, drawings of forest creatures. wedding colors are burgundy/antique white/brown/gold so maybe incorporate those colors. how does that sound?
