Plum Pretty Sugar

Connecticut Backyard Wedding

Spring is in the air the flowers are blooming and the sun in shining. So, it seemed appropriate to share a few fun cheery backyard wedding ideas with you.

Megan and Hugh both went to University of Oregon, thus the  bright yellow and green color scheme. The cake topper was actually a vintage hand me down from Megan’s parents to make it all the more special. Their favorite four legged friend, Bosley was the inspiration behind their signature cocktail. This light and airy backyard wedding was all captured by IRIS Photography

Venue: Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme CT

I wouldn’t call myself an Oregon State fan, but I am in love with the color palette. Great for spring!

We loved working with Jane and Mike at IRIS Photography. As you can see, their photographs are amazing. The gorgeous flowers were provided by Thames River Greenery of New London and the setting was the back of the Florence Griswold Museum along the Lieutenant River. We wouldn’t change a thing!
