Heather and Ben had a perfect day for a perfectly Philadelphia wedding. The afternoon started with a walk around the city’s cobblestone streets in an area called Old City, it’s where Ben Franklin et. al. gave birth to the country. The ceremony was at Christ Church. The Church was founded in 1695 and was the home church of Franklin, Betsy Ross and George Washington. The party got going later at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art (PAFA). PAFA’s museum is internationally known for its collections of 19th- and 20th-century American paintings, sculptures, and works on paper. The museum was founded in 1786 and the building, built in 1876 is a National Historic Landmark. Despite this history, the museum has galleries filled with wonderful modern art.
Heather and Ben wanted a modern, photojournalistic approach to their photography so they naturally found a connection with my background as a photojournalist a great fit. Their ceremony was a blend of Heather’s Christian background with some of Ben’s Jewish mixed together.
