Pretty much only Oprah has access to the Cakegirls in Chicago. Who are one of the most imaginative and talented cake artisians around. The Cakegirls are sisters Mary and Brenda Maher. Originally from Detroit, now located in Chicago, they create edible art for your special day. Also offering splendid cakes for other occassions.
Unfortunately, they do not ship their magnificent creations. Hopefully in the future the will. However as you see above they have a reality series on WE on Sunday nights all about WEDDING CAKES. Set up your Tivos.

Personal favorite cakes for any event, in Chicago. I’ve ordered 5 cakes from The Cake Girls over the past 3 years with all different themes and flavors, and have NEVER been disappointed. In fact, I’ve always been BLOWN AWAY! These women are amazing at what they do!

Okay, my cousin Carly is friends, so we’ve had the chance to try Cake Girls cakes on several occasions – let me say that they are worth a Chicago destination wedding (even in the dead of a long grey winter). They are so ridiculously good that it’s almost unfair.
Their cakes are simply amazing and gorgeous! I hope they start to ship their cakes soon!
