Glamorous 1920s Wedding Inspiration: Dresses, Decor & Mint Juleps

Share

Jenny Packham embellished wedding gowns collectionJenny Packham has been honored as a Hollywood style fashion designer of the year” by movie line’s Hollywood life magazine. Beyonce, Sarah Jessica Parker, Halle Berry and Lauren Conrad are in the rapidly expanding list of stars wearing Jenny Packham’s designs. We are so in love with the butterfly inspired dress in the top right hand corner, perfect for a butterfly themed wedding. In fact we can picture any of these dresses inspiring a 1920’s themed wedding. Below are  few tips on small details to host a memorable day reminiscent of the Great Gatsby.
Dress your hubby to be and his attendants in sleek black tuxedos.
Arrive in 1929 Badsworth Landaulette as seen below.
Lace and Doilies Galore. Be sure to have your centerpieces over some gorgeous dollies. You can more than likely pick some of these up at your local thrift store or look to your nearest Anthropologie (they always have some in stock).
Host an elegant cocktail, complete with your signature 1920’s inspired mint Julep (see recipe below) with hot and cold hors d’oeuvre s passed by waiters in crisp white suits. Followed by a sit down dinner that must include a Waldorf Salad.
Be sure to play classic jazz in the background.
